Certification agent
The certification agency - NAK- is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit foundation. Potato certification is supervised by a committee: seed grower, seed user, breeder, seed merchant, representative of the Min.of Agriculture and some experts as consultants. Supervisor is the Min.of Agriculture.
Classifications
The seed classes are:pre-basic(S), basic(SE, E), certified (A, C)
Basis for certification and classification
Classification is based on:
1) Plant quarantine regulations
2) Quality of the seed planted
3) Field inspection ( + laboratory tests)
4) Isolation of seed production fields
5) Lifting dates (Haulm Destruction Dates)
6) Post harvest control
7) Lot inspection
Certificates and labels
After a lot of seed potatoes has been definitively approved, it is certified.
After a batch of seed potatoes has been definitively approved, it is certified.
